Information for presenters

Please check your presentation date and time on the programme.


Presentations should aim to engage the audience, to create interest, seek feedback and encourage further enquiry. Presentations are approx. 15 minute long conversation starters, followed by 5 minutes for further discussion, for a total of *20 minutes. Presentations must reference work currently underway or completed within the last year.

Lightning Talks are a series of short 5 minute talks, where each talk is by a different speaker, and each speaker has 5 minutes to talk to 20 slides, with each slide advancing after 15 seconds. “The presentations are meant to “ignite” the audience on a subject, i.e. to generate awareness and to stimulate thought and action on the subjects presented.”  See tips on how to give a great ignite talk here and here.

Presentation Upload

Please provide your powerpoint presentations to the Tech Desk in the Coronet Room on a USB memory stick during the below times.

  • Day One Presentations prior to 09.00 Monday 12th February
  • Day Two Presentations by 13.45 Monday 12th February
  • Day Three Presentations by 11.10 Tuesday 13th February

File Naming Convention

Please save your presentation file using the below naming convention to better assist the conference AV tech.

Presentation Time (in 24 hour 1355 or 0930)_Presenter name (first_ last)_Session Number_Stream

Example: 1530_Joe_Smith_S2_Strategic

If you are unsure of your session time please open the programme.

Rooms and AV

Each room features standard audio-visual equipment including a data projector and screen, clicker, presentation laptop, lapel microphone, whiteboard with markers.
Apple Mac Users – please bring an HDMI adapter if you want to use your laptop, (if it doesn’t have its own HDMI socket).
